Expansions at the Brewery

I know it's been a while since I've updated the blog, but here's my resolution to be much better about bringing regular updates from here on out.

If you've been into the tasting room since this past weekend, you probably noticed all the new shiny stainless steel:

What you see in the pictures are our new 10 barrel fermenters and Brite Tank.  With the addition of these new tanks, our brewing production will more than double.  Increased production means more beers on tap in the tasting room, and the ability for Bravery to get on tap in more local bars/restaurants.

The next noteworthy development is our leap towards barrel-aging some of our beers:

Currently we have ~160 gallons of our Old Rat (English-Style Old Ale) sitting in Heaven Hill Bourbon  barrels.  You can expect to try some of this decadent creation later this year.  The next barrel project on the horizon is a collaboration with our local home-brew club, BEAVR.  Each participating BEAVR has brewed his own take on an Old Ale/ English-Style Barley wine, and we'll fill the bourbon barrel with the blend of each member's beer.

So check back with the blog regularly, there's going to be lots of updates and information regarding upcoming events and new beer releases which will only be posted here.  Cheers!
